The Union of Landscape Architects in Bulgaria is a non-profit association founded in 2004. It is the successor and continuation of the creative traditions of the Scientific and Technical Union for the period from its founding in 1949 to 1965, as well as the “Landscape Architecture” Club at the Union of Architects in Bulgaria.

Activities of the Union

1. Consulting, development and expression of expert opinions in the field of landscape architecture

2. Organization of discussions on issues of landscape architecture and its regulations that are important to society and the members of ULA

3. Documenting and preserving the monuments of garden-park and landscape art

4. Organizing and conducting competitions in the field of landscape architecture and awarding the awarded projects and realizations

5. Support for the development of landscape architecture education

6. Organizing events and informing the public about the creative achievements of ULA members in the field of landscape architecture

Goals

The Union of Landscape Architects (ULA) represents its members and protects their creative and professional interests before state, municipal and international institutions, legal entities and individuals.

The Union has the following objectives:
1. To confirm landscape architecture as a complex artistic and utilitarian activity, as art, as well as the values and results of garden-park and landscape creativity;

2. To support the creative and professional development of its members;

3. To protect the civil rights and freedoms of its members, to protect them in case of violations of the labor legislation, the Law on copyright and its related rights and other normative acts and documents concerning landscape architecture, to protect them in case of disrespect and humiliation of their human dignity ;

4. To develop and expand creative-professional cooperation with Bulgarian, foreign and international related organizations in the field of landscape architecture and architecture.

The goals of ULA are realized with the help and joint efforts of all members!

Means of achieving the objectives of the ULA

Working for the professional advancement and qualification of its members, discovering and guiding the development of talent, high professionalism and creativity in the field of landscape architecture

Develop and promote its goals and objectives, as well as the creative achievements of its members through its own and other public and private mass media

Work to confirm the beginning of the competition as a basic principle in the awarding of park planning and landscape design projects

Maintaining, developing and improving a system for permanent information of its members on the problems and novelties in the field of landscape architecture

Analyzing, evaluating and supporting the education of landscape architecture at the Forestry University Bulgaria, as well as the entry of novice landscape architects into the profession

Promotion of our activities through our own magazine “Landscape Architecture”

Working in collaboration with the Association of Landscape Architects Bulgaria

Creating a Register of its members and a Register of companies as organizational units of the Union
